3 WordPress Plugins your Website Needs

in Sin categoría on May 6th, 2015

If you have a new website, or just want to take your current site to the next level, you may be aware that there are many marketplaces that offer apps or add-ons or plugins for your site. These can come from your hosting company, or from your website builder, such as Wix, Squarespace, WordPress etc. These offer many options for you to work on improving your site, and they are services you can pick right from your control panel or during a purchase checkout process.

These marketplaces (sometimes official marketplaces, sometimes not) which offer all types of services as ‘add-ons’, are great for proactive users who are invested in the success of their site, but sometimes they can become overwhelming because of the sheer amount of options. How to choose from over 30.000 plugin options?

Here we are focusing on WordPress add-ons; there are some that can make your life much easier, and are easy to find and install. However, Wix and Squarespace users will find that it is likely that they can obtain the same or similar add-ons either directly through their web builder or through a third party marketplace.

Website Optimiser

It’s not a surprise we would include some sort of web optimisation plugin! By far the most popular for this is the SEO plugin by Yoast.  It is a very complete web optimization package, allowing you to add titles and descriptions to your articles, publish an xml sitemap, meta robots configuration, add noindex, or nofollow pages, taxonomies or entire archives. How to install it? Easy! Read about it here.

marketgoo Love: we think this is a great plugin to use together with marketgoo, because we give you tasks that sometimes require you to fiddle with things like meta tags, title descriptions, etc. SEO by Yoast gives you a way to do this yourself. Some of our users send slightly more technical tasks to their webmaster for completion, but this allows you to take care of everything yourself.

Disqus is a commenting system that works seamlessly with your WordPress setup, allowing you to manage all comments from the admin area or from the comments section on your blog.

marketgoo Love: marketgoo users get a lot of tips and tasks regarding how to build a community around their site. A commenting system like Disqus is a good step to take towards enticing users to be engaged with your site and keep coming back.

Forms greatly help your site become more user friendly and increase your site’s potential to generate business.
Gravity forms and optinmonster are two add-ons you can easily install.

marketgoo Love: Forms are an ideal way to collect and manage data from potential customers and business partners. As a marketgoo user you may receive some tips and recommendations from us on how to optimise your site in order to make it easy for visitors to contact you, and this is one of those ways.
