What’s new in mDI – June 2025

in Domain Intelligence, Product Update. Last Updated on June 30th, 2025

This month we’re all about new ways to explore your data, better segmenting domains, and managing your account more efficiently.

Interactive Analysis

New Feature: Visual Flow Diagram (Sankey-style!)
We’ve added a new interactive flow diagram to the top of the Analysis section.

It shows how domains in your database are distributed across key categories like Email Configuration, SSLstatus and a General Overview such as:

  • Resolved vs. unresolved sites
  • Working sites

Why it matters: Now, teams can better understand relationships between segments at a glance, spot trends, drill down into specific datapoints, and generate Opportunity Recipes with one-click.

Where you’ll find it: At the top of the Analysis section you’ll see 3 tabs, each with an interactive diagram. You can still save segments from this view, and the familiar segment cards are available just below the diagram.

Custom Email Detection

A new data point is available: Custom Email

This property checks the domain’s MX record to determine whether it has a valid email setup using its own domain (e.g. [email protected]).

Why it matters: This update is great for teams looking to better qualify and segment domains based on whether the domain is being actively used for business, making it a better candidate for upsell or outreach.

Where you’ll find it: across mDI, including in Analysis, Recipes, Database and Domain Reports and Domain Snapshots.

More Team Management Options

New Feature: Leave Team & Transfer Ownership

We now support two key actions: leaving a team and transferring team ownership.

  • Leaving a Team: Admins and read-only users can leave a team at any time. When they click the “Leave team” button, they’ll be asked to confirm the action via a modal.

Owners, however, can only leave after transferring ownership to another team member. Until then, the “Leave team” button is disabled and a “Transfer ownership” option appears instead.
  • Transferring Ownership: Only one owner is allowed per team. If there are other members, the owner can choose to transfer ownership to any admin or read-only user. A confirmation modal will appear with a dropdown listing all eligible users.

Why it matters:  This feature improves flexibility for managing teams, especially useful during handoffs or when stepping away from an account.

Where you’ll find it: in your mDI account, go to the Profile > Team section
