New left-side navigation
The previous top navigation presented some limitations in scalability and responsiveness, especially as the platform expanded. Transitioning to a left-side navigation addresses these issues, offering a more scalable and user-friendly design.
What’s New:
- The top navigation has been replaced with a sleek left-side navigation bar.
- All screens have been updated to seamlessly align with the new layout.
- Responsiveness and scalability have been significantly enhanced.
SEO Progress Dashboard

- Task Tracking: Track progress on individual SEO tasks within projects, including completion statuses.
- Visualization: Utilize charts and graphs to represent changes in the SEO project over time.
The new wizard helps users configure key aspects of the product:

The page tasks screen now includes:
- Focus-keyword guided selection, Page content scan and analysis, Page optimization advice
The app is now using Lighthouse audits for mobile friendliness checks.

- The app now notifies the user if their homepage is inaccesible and can’t be scanned. It appears as a critical task in the web app’s Audit your Site section.
- The app now checks the existence of a sitemap so it can be discovered even if it is not referenced in the robots.txt file. There’s a new task that checks the presence of structured data on the user’s website, and we have the first AI feature available for our users: AI metatags generator for Evolution plans!
- Improved product data analytics with PostHog events, website report customizations for Partners, removal of Alexa data, and made a fix to avoid screens that load forever when a scan is blocked.
- Introduced a new template for monthly email for websites NOT configured/ not completed the wizard.

- The Monthly Report emails have a new look and feel!
- Now you will see your top backlinks in descending order, with the highest quality at the top.
UPDATES
WordPress plugin changelog
We’ve redesigned the monthly SEO Report emails so they highlight key metrics at a glance and include clear visual cues to guide users toward what needs attention.
Introducing version 2.0 of our WordPress plugin. Key updates include:
- Dashboard: 2.0 introduces a tailored experience similar to the recently updated WebApp, featuring relevant insights and personalized recommendations for WordPress users.
- Site Tasks: New section that mirrors the task management functionality available in the WebApp.
- Optimize Section: This area now exclusively displays the content optimization list (pages and posts).
- Analyze Section: Shows insights into rankings, traffic, and competitor data.
- Search Appearance: Consolidates all settings related to how the website appears in search results.
- Settings: Provides tools to customize and personalize the plugin to suit individual preferences.
Please note that Free WordPress plans will have restricted access to certain featureS.
New AI-guided optimization flow for pages and posts.
It appears directly in the WordPress editor, making it easy for users to get a fully optimized page in a few clicks.
New Onboarding Wizard
We’ve simplified the initial setup of the SEO plugin, and the user is presented with a series of screens to configure:
- Website goal
- Website industry
- Country target
- Competitors (can include AI-powered suggestions)
- Users can customize markup individually for each post and page.
- The plugin is now using Lighthouse audits for mobile friendliness checks.
- A redesigned sidebar in the post editor: neatly organized and explained tasks, easily track your progress in each with color-coded indicators (green for completed, red for pending).
- We now have AI features! Generate titles and meta descriptions for posts on the fly. We have also added the Norwegian language to our tools and now allow users to remove focus keywords.
- We have improved Spanish translations, made opimizations to the codebase in order to facilitate quicker development, and deployed a fix for our robots.txt task.
- This includes a deactivation survey (v.75.6) to understand the reasons behind plugin deactivation (very useful for our Partners), improved product data analytics using PostHog events (v.75.7), and improved translations. We also integrated the plugin under a co-branded scheme with a new Partner which you’ll hear about soon!
- New feature! ‘Search Appearance’ allows you to control how your site appears in search results. Edit Company Information, Homepage, Post, Pages, Archives and Taxonomies in which users can customize according to their preferences.
- Aware that solving several SEO tasks can be tedious, we want to make it easier for you to complete them. In this new version of the plugin, every time you solve a task and you have others pending, they will appear in order of importance on the same page, saving you time to return to Optimize to do a new scan.
- You can check how many positions a keyword has increased or decreased from the past month. There, you can easily identify your progress on SERPs. We have also included the traffic volume variation related to that position change from the last month. Access this insightful information on the “SEO Traffic” section within Analyze.
- Now, when you verify whether one of your tasks has been completed successfully, you will see the results much faster, and your SEO Score is also now calculated much quicker and simultaneously to the task verification.
- If your website does not have a robots.txt file and/or sitemap, that issue will now be fixed auto-magically! Without you having to do anything manually, they are resolved. This way, search engines will have an easier time understanding your entire website’s content and structure.
- Competitor recommendations are now better suited to your site and market. Give it a try!
- Your SEO score, priority site tasks and posts with improvement opportunities are now available in the top bar of your WordPress admin space. You can start optimizing with just 1 click! If it gets in your way, you can deactivate it from within the plugin’s Settings.
- There are visual improvements to the Analyze section, to help you quickly and easily understand the SEO status of your website.
- Analyze has a new structure! You will find the information divided into more visual sections, so it’s easier to read at-a-glance.
- The structure of the keyword report now shows current detailed data first, and then the monthly evolution section.
- The Optimize section has a new structure.
- Tasks related to the entire website are now separated from those that only refer to specific pages and content.
- Tasks that have been completed correctly are now summarised and can be reviewed.
- We have improved the accuracy of the SEO score of your posts and pages!
- From this version on, our plugin will automatically display the texts in the language you have configured in WordPress.
- Now, you don’t have to wait long for the traffic and keyword data of the competitors you add to be displayed.
UPDATES
mDI changelog
- The SEO Score datapoint is now replaced by Technical SEO Health. It reflects how well a website meets technical SEO requirements (scale 0–100).
- The old SEO Level datapoint is now replaced by Ranking Readiness. It indicates how technically prepared a site is to achieve higher rankings (Low, Medium, High, Very High).
- SERP Visibility and SERP Visibility Level are new datapoints that estimate how often a domain appears in search results and categorize visibility as Low, Medium, High, or Very High.
New Analytics UI for the Domain Snapshot add-on, all details accessible directly in the dashboard:
- Campaign Reports
- Recipient Management
Self serve payments are live!
Users can pick a plan, pay, apply promo codes, and manage their subscription all on their own.
Team Owners will see the new billing block in Account Settings with plan details, domain limits, and quick links to upgrade or fix payment issues.
Demo & trial users will now be taken straight to the new plan selection screen.
New ways to explore data, segment domains, & manage your team more efficiently.
-
Visual Flow (Sankey) Diagram: See how domains relate across key datapoints right from the Analysis section.
-
Custom Email Detection: Quickly identify domains using a professional email setup, helping you & segment with more precision.
-
Team Management Updates: Admins and owners can now leave teams or transfer ownership, making account management smoother.
- Redesigned Recipes section to include an AI prompt that helps users create custom recipes based on their goals.
- Invite teammates to your mDI account, assign them roles (admin or read-only), and manage who has access. No more shared logins!
- Redefined the Domain Status data point to more accurately categorize domains based on their behavior.
Now it’s faster and easier to uncover actionable insights in mDI.
- Added logical operators (AND, OR, NOT) and relative time filters to improve segmentation.
- Enabled AI-powered filtering via natural language queries
- Improvements apply across Segments, Custom Recipes, and Database filtering.
- New Recipes section: Pre-built automated recipes help you instantly identify key opportunities in your domains, and you can arrange your Recipe feed however you like.
- New Analysis section: Gain deeper insights into your domains with advanced segmentation, presented as a full Domain Profile, covering hosting, security, SEO, and more.
- Domain Snapshot Email Report: Keep customers informed with automated domain status updates, sent directly to their inbox with no integration required.

- The Public Domain Report provides a comprehensive overview of a domain’s details, performance, security, and SEO status.
- Now, the Report view appears by default when clicking on a domain in the Database. Except for those domains that have not yet been scanned, which will still default to the ‘classic’ (Domain table) view.
Access to the classic view still exists, but now there is a dropdown menu within the Report view to access it.

- The option to export as CSV from the Report view is also enabled.Important: you’ll note that the URL for public reports has also been updated. If you had previously shared a link to a Report, please go to the Report, click Share and copy the new link.

For SEO-related data points, you can now view detailed insights directly from your recipes or while exploring your database.
For example, if a data point highlights missing H1 titles, clicking on it will reveal the specific URLs on a domain without H1 titles.
Remember that if you want to see an additional column with your preferred data point, you must click on the gear icon and configure the columns.

Datapoint details provide a deeper layer of insight to help you quickly identify and address specific issues.
These newer datapoints are all directly related to SEO best practices and technical fixes for optimizing visibility and performance in search engines.
- Errors on Titles, Empty Titles, Duplicated Titles, No H1 titles:
Identifies issues with page titles, such as missing, duplicated, or poorly optimized titles. You can quickly see opportunities to upsell SEO services or tools to fix title errors, and something to highlight in your SEO audits.
- Meta Descriptions:
Flags missing or problematic meta descriptions, such as those which are too long.
- URL Length:
Number of pages with non-descriptive URLs. For example/people?id=234instead of/people/jane-smith.
- Structured Data Details:
Tracks the presence of structured data on pages, providing insights into schema implementation. Helps identify domains lacking structured data, enabling targeted upselling of SEO or technical support services.
- Alt Attributes for Images:
Reports the number of images missing alternative text (alt attribute) for accessibility and SEO purposes. This streamlines the identification of image-related SEO issues, so you can help customers ensure compliance with accessibility standards and improve their search rankings.

All these data points are updated weekly.
